I think this bug should just be fixedĪpart from that, while investigating this matter tonight I found out that my steam is showing me as ingame during this glitch which is ofcourse no suprise. Having to check everytime I close shogun and then reboot if it happends is ofcourse an easy solution but there's a reason my pc has to be online 24/7 and i would have to close many applications every time. I do love shogun 2 alot but with this time being added daily I look like some kind of freak and its getting awkward. My pc is almost online 24/7 so it happends almost every day that I close the game at some time while it keeps running and I guess steam just keeps tracking time even when the game is not even open. So I just had a look and Steam says I almost got 1000 play hours (985 to be exact at this moment). And I assume its extreme high according to the comments im getting. Now here comes the awkward part: People are often giving me comments now on the time I played shogun while they browse my steam profile from the game lobby.
I never had this problem with any other game its very annoying. And even steam wont close or start any other game you have installed because it will say you have to close Shogun first (which is not showing up in task manager either). The only way to start the game again is to reboot your pc.
That is if you haven't rebooted your pc in the mean time. When you quit shogun (And I just use the quit button from the main menu) the game keeps running without you knowing it until you want to start shogun again and then get the error the game is already running. There's a very annoying glitch with shogun 2 and from what i've heard from another guy he has the same issue sometimes.
